Frequency as Stillness | The Museum of Modern Art
Exhibition by Isa Tineo

This exhibition explores sound repetition as a pathway to meditation. Through recurring tones and sustained frequencies, listening becomes an act of presence, inviting the mind to slow and the body to settle. Rather than asking for attention, the work offers space—where sound is experienced not only through the ears, but through the breath, the body, and the quiet that exists between each vibration.

Each repetition reveals subtle change. What may first seem constant gradually unfolds into shifting textures, resonances, and moments of stillness. As time stretches, the boundaries between listener and sound begin to soften, allowing the experience to become less about observation and more about simply being present within the frequency itself.
